Adiza Shardow is a Scottish/Ghanaian Actress and emerging writer. She trained at the prestigious drama school The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she gained her BA degree in acting.
Her screen debut was playing series regular Liberty Gordon in BBCs school drama Waterloo Road. Since then she has went on to appear in several other TV dramas and made her stage debut at The Crucible for the show Close Quarters in 2018.
Adiza started her writing journey in 2015 when she wrote and appeared in several sketches for the mini web series #sketchpack. The series won Best International Comedy Sketch at Miami Web fest 2016. Her latest work is penning a spoken word monologue #mama ( An Instagram star takes us behind the filter as she explores her relationship with her mother.). This was commissioned as part of The Yellow coat theatre companies event #Passiton a night of emerging female writers. It was shown in Feb on The Space Arts centre live watch party.
Adiza started writing to tell more diverse and complex stories that are lacking representation in the media. She is also part of the uproot connect programme were 10 black theatre artist’s are selected to complete an 8 week course with one to ones with some of the most inspiring and influential names in the industry.
