Hi! I’m Jess Buchanan! I’m the author ✍️ of the New York Time’s bestseller 📚‘Impossible Odds: The Kidnapping of Jessica Buchanan and her Dramatic Rescue by SEAL Team VI.’ ✨This memoir details my work as a humanitarian aid worker, and my 93 day captivity as a hostage held by Somali pirates and my subsequent rescue by the elite SEAL Team 6. 🥴

I’m also the co-host of the ‘We Should Talk About That’ podcast 🎙which is a conversational podcast that aims to unpack the social taboos around things no one is talking about, but should, even if it makes us feel 🥴 (send pitch ideas to @westatpod) 🙏
