Houston born Colombian-American artist Henao, cites Selena Quintanilla and 90s R&B Music as a source of musical inspiration. During her teenage years, Houston’s burgeoning music scene fueled by the enormous success of Mike Jones, Paul Wall and other Houston natives continued to feed her interest in music. This would later lead to Henao recording hooks for local underground rappers. After college, Henao began traveling to Los Angeles, where she collaborated and recorded her first project with music producer/songwriter Jesty Beatz.
Following her debut EP Interlaced in 2016, the album marked a pivotal moment when it began to gravitate attention from European DJs through SoundCloud. Her Serendipity Remix alongside Lucas Estrada became a Top 50 Viral song in Germany and Austria on Spotify. While traveling to Amsterdam Henao collaborated with Dutch songwriter, Melissa de Kleine which landed her singles with DJs such as Kill the Buzz and Blasterjaxx.
Henao’s Colombian roots inspired the Paraiso EP, which is a fusion of rhythmic latin sounds and modern R&B. Colombian Producer Crabeats, helped curate this cultural blend of what Henao says is her new music vibe. In 2018, Henao would meet 6x Grammy Nominated Songwriter/Producer SAK PASE (Rihanna, Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez) and Grammy Nominated Songwriter/Producer where this meet would lead to Henao’s EP and Single Me Quede debuting in 2021
