There are more people than 12 notes in music and the music establishment doesn’t want you to know.

This is a place to discuss microtonal music, which is music outside of the popular and traditional western 12 tone system. We discuss concepts like EDO (equal divisions of the octave) which are not 12 as well as other systems that might not divide the octaves perfectly by a number, just intonation, xenharmonics, tuning systems from around the world, outside of the west, such as those found in the traditional music of The Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Asia, Pre Columbian Latin America. Inclusive of both acoustic traditional folk instruments as well as electronic music hardware and plugins. For both musicians and music listeners.
