Kb. Barrell is an American marketing and music executive known professionally as ThePlaymaker. He first gained prominence in the late 90’s early 2000’s as head of marketing and promotions for Tone Struck records Sheppard/ Lane Records. He spear headed very successful promotional campaigns for Madd Nation, DJ Quik, Suga Free, DJ Battlecat, Kokane, and the late Mausberg (The artist and projects that he promoted has sold a staggering 24 million units worldwide from 1996 to present ).
