Decolonizing Economics, Finance & Trade on Clubhouse

D.E.F.T is a clubhouse formed as a response to help Black people of the African Diaspora make distinct connections between Black American innovation, history and culture to global politics and economics. DEFT’s mission is to promote independent trade relationships outside of westernized influence over the next decade and to encourage Black people worldwide to mobilize politically and economically. In this clubhouse cultural diplomacy is necessary for stabilisation. Discussions will be strategically focused on the deconstruction of oppressive capitalist views, mentalities and philosophies that have not been serving us collectively, which we may have internalized through institutionalized education systems. Furthermore, through these conversations, we will work together to connect major eras of economic and technological developments to the contributions and legacies of the Enslaved and Freedman legacy here in America. This space is all about creating and designing culturally relative solutions that are equitable and sustainable; while sharing knowledge in a way that actually empowers Black people rather than in a way that exploits Black people globally or even in a way that establishes hierarchies amongst Black people where there need not be any... This club is a good fit for emerging thought leaders, philosophers, scholars, researchers, visionaries, out the box thinkers, diplomats and active entrepreneurs apart of the Black diaspora community.
