Join Margaret Cleary, for StoryTime with Beverly Cleary, a 24 hour fundraiser for literacy and the essential supplies to build the strongest foundation for the children to begin building their lives on. May 12th.

❗️24 hour Fundraiser for Literacy ❗️

StoryTime with Beverly begins at midnight Pacific Standard Time on May 12, extending for 24 hours, to support a cause dear to Beverly cleary - creating a love of literacy for children. Providing the essential supplies that school districts, their public schools, the educators, administrators and most importantly, Classroom and lifestyle essential for the children.

Help us supply children across the country with the school supplies and books that they need, that millions of children don’t have access to or cannot afford.

In honor of my grandmother who was born on the 12th of April. The first StoryTime with Beverly Cleary was held April 12th. It is in honor of life and work towards the literacy, and enjoyment of reading, a chapter of fundraises, as in a, 12 parts of a book.

🌈About Beverly Cleary🌈

Beverly Cleary was one of the most influential and prolific children's authors of the 20th century, best known for penning the Ramona Quimby series, which included Newbery Honor titles Ramona and Her Father and Ramona Quimby, Age 8. Cleary also won a Newbery Medal in 1984 for her book Dear Mr. Henshaw. Her following Book Strider, was the sequel to her Newbery Medal. (The Line, March 26, 2021)

The fundraiser benefits First Book. Since 1992, First Book has distributed more than 200 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income communities in more than 30 states.

First Book currently reaches an average of 5 million children every year and supports more a third of the estimated 1.3 million classrooms and programs serving children in need.
