Blockchain Ecosystem on Clubhouse

Description

There are many layers to the blockchain ecosystem. Actual blockchains make up just one layer.

When most people first discover the crypto market they think in terms of “crypto currencies”.

What they don’t realize is Bitcoin is the only true currency (and payment system) and when they think “crypto currencies” they are referring to “crypto assets” made up of crypto tokens, crypto enterprises, and decentralized applications (dApps)

The five layers or categories of the blockchain ecosystem are as follows:

1. Hardware Layer (i.e., POS Terminals, Sensors, Mining Chips, RFID Tags, etc.)

2. Core Layer (Distributed Databases, Interplanetary Filesystem, etc.)

3. Blockchain Layer (Bitcoin blockchain, Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, etc.)

4. Protocol Layer (Lightning Network, Blockchain Connectors, Decentralized Exchanges, Search Engines, etc.)

5. Crypto Asset Layer (bitcoin, Altcoins, Decentralized Apps)

This club was created to foster learning, discovery, and discussion of the Blockchain Ecosystem, and why money allocated to Bitcoin is a safe investment while money allocated to everything else is speculation. If you don’t know the difference between an investment and speculation, well we can discuss that too.
