How to Schedule an Event - contact @drcross or @profcaro

Step 1:
Schedule your event in Clubhouse. Be sure to add all the speakers and a full description. If you need to add speakers as new users, contact Caro and/or Karen to request a club invitation to be sent.

Step 2:
Send message either on twitter or IG to Caro and/or Karen with the following information
* Event link (from the Clubhouse app event calendar)
* Event duration (how long you anticipate the room lasting)
* Any additional details/context that may be helpful

Step 3:
Your event will be reviewed. If there are any questions, we will message you back.

If your event is approved, you will receive a message asking you to add one of our club admins to your event as a guest (so they can add the club to your event).
Note: everyone who is listed on your event will be able to open the public club room for your event - so please be sure to coordinate with them so that they know that you will open the room (and so multiple people do not open multiple rooms).

Please give us as much advance notice as possible, and, if you don’t hear back from us, please be patient (we can only handle so many requests per day).


Event Guidelines

Follow Clubhouse Rules
Your event must comply with the Clubhouse Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Event Type
If you wish to do a promotional event, you must clearly disclose that when making your request to do a club event. Otherwise, club events should not in any way be an infomercial for yourself, your fellow speakers, your business, cause, etc. - and you should not ask for follows, use your event as a marketing funnel, etc. Interactive discussions that include many diverse voices usually work best. Respect is a key watchword for this club.

Moderating and Ending the Room
The person who submits the request must actively be in the room as a moderator the whole time and must close the room before leaving.
Be respectful & mindful of confidential material: We are here to connect & learn through respectful exchange. The Club is pluralistic & welcomes eclectic voices. We do not tolerate hate speech or trolling. Sharing case material will be complicated.
Help to shape the club: Contact the moderators Dr Karen Cross (@drcross) & Prof Caro Bainbridge (@profcaro) to alert us to any issues or for support. If you would like to host a room for the Club, or moderate, get in touch.
