Healthy skepticism is the essence of critical thinking. They counter superstition, irrationality, and false beliefs. Unfortunately, some cultures are mired in passive thinking, i.e., accepting things at face value without questioning
This club aims to promote skepticism and critical thinking when confronted with extraordinary claims and everyday information that forms our world view. As a practice, we will be examining claims of extra-terrestrial intelligence as this may the most likely paranormal phenomenon we may ever encounter.
We will discuss tools of critical thinking and decision-making skills and discuss various events labeled as paranormal from a skeptical point of view.
