Pathological Demand Avoidance PDA profile of Autism Spectrum ♾

For PDA Adults and Parents of PDA children, diagnosed or not. Or those wanting to learn more to support a PDAer.

I’ve had a wild journey so far learning about my daughter’s autism and now my own possible neurodiversity, but I still remember what I was like, thought and acted before.

Unable to connect with and understand why my child was progressively displaying worse behaviour, why she was not responding to my parenting.

I want to use my experience to help other parents starting out on their journey, those struggling with it and feeling overwhelmed, not understanding or not sure where to start. No harsh judgment, just heartfelt advice.

I also want to use this opportunity to discuss various aspects and topics of PDA and Autism, hear from others and get a variety of opinions back. I hope to be able to speak with as many great established voices as possible, and ask them questions to help my understanding. You can ask questions of us too or send them through me.

Not just parenting but also to talk with other PDA Adults to help me learn more about my own Neurodiversity. I’ll be diving back into resurfaced memories and their connection

All are welcome, please be careful not to judge and come with as open a mind as possible but cautious skeptics are welcome too.
Tolerance for Neurodivergent and Neurotypical individuals: Clearly we see the world very differently to each other, so patience and understanding are needed from both sides, both have possibly had a difficult time.
Clubhouse Etiquette and Civility: Please follow the usual conventions for CH and for meetings. Please be civil and courteous to others, no raises voices, take turns, don’t speak over one another.
Promoting and Selling: No direct selling or promoting of own products or services but can share anything by anyone else that helped you.
