We're here to re-contextualize Dr. Montessori's work, and our own work as educators today. Our work is to help children adapt to their time and place. We posit that to do so, we need to understand the time and place in which Dr. Montessori worked, and our own time and place with an understanding that these shape our perspectives, interpretations and practices, and that the children we work with will need to adapt to times and places we cannot predict or imagine.

There are no experts here. We're literally starting this club to learn more together, from each others' perspectives and interpretations.

✳️ Mods will lead casual dialogues around various topics related to our purpose.

📝 The people in this club tend to use jargon from different fields and like to dig into complexity. Which also means we often need to ask each other to clarify what we mean. We invite you to do the same, and ask us what we're on about.

📝 We're a diverse and inclusive bunch and do our best to offer spaces where people feel welcome - which also means we welcome feedback on how to do better at that.

📝 We know this all makes us sound like a serious bunch, but we don’t a actually take ourselves so seriously!
