Thai Poetry Club is created for all thoughtful and creative thai poets around the world. Thai poetic works follow established prosodic forms, known as chanthalak (Thai: ฉันทลักษณ์, pronounced [tɕʰǎntʰalák]). Almost all have rules governing the exact metre and rhyme structure, i.e. the number of syllables in each line and which syllable rhymes with which. Certain forms also specify the tone or tone marks of syllables; others have requirements of syllable "heaviness". Alliteration and within-line rhyming are also often employed, but are not required by the rules. Club Founder : ChorchongkohUSA or Miss Prathamabhorn Menasuta, the gold medalist awarded-winner of seven scholarships in Thai Poetry and Thai language acknowledgements from Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok Thailand in the field of the highest level of creative verses, plus a certificate in American Language and Culture for foreign post-graduated students from Stanford,CA in 1985 and attended Graduate school of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1985-1987. Working as a freelance poet since 1988 till the present, published 3 books of Thai Poetry during 1989-1991. Very well known in Chitralada Palace in Thailand with more than 2,000 pieces of outstanding poetic works published in Thai newspapers in San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA since 1992.
