ABOUT SADHO:
Sadho, which literally means ‘O sage’, is the familiar addressee in the poetry of the great Indian saint poet Kabir.For us ‘Sadho’ is a call to all those with poetic hearts!

Sadho aims at taking great 'poetry to people' from all walks of life, through the innovative use of arts, media and social action. For a decade between 2007 -2017, it pioneered various initiatives at the intersections of poetry and other art forms.

SADHO ACTIVITIES

1. Sadho Poetry Film Festival: The only film festival of its kind in Asia. A biennial showcase of the finest poetry and poetic films from around the world. Five editions of the festival's main event were held in Delhi between 2007 & 2105. They featured nearly two hundred poetry-films from six continents and forty-five countries.

2. The Travel Festival: Over forty screenings held in twenty two Indian cities.

3. Sadho Poetry Films Project: A collaborative effort between the Sadho core team and filmmakers, aimed at producing poetry-films. Eight short films were produced under the project.

4. Sign Langauge Poetry Films: Sadho introduced sign language poetry films to India in 2010.

5. Sadho Poetry Albums: Recordings based on the work of leading poets of various languages. Three albums available. More to be released over the next two years.

6. Sadho Poetry Art: Poetry Posters, Computer Wallpapers and Poetry Souvenirs.

7. Sadho Workshops: On various topics related to poetry, films, art and other subjects.
