Open Water Swimming on Clubhouse

Open Water Swimming: Conversations that matter! A Club to share open water swimming stories and experiences to help each other. The vision for the Open Water Swimming club is to be like a radio station. And each “room” in the Club is like a radio show.

If someone wants to do “rooms” on swimming marathons in Australia for example, or Ice Swimming, instead of having to build their own audience, they could tap the people already following Open Water Swimming by doing their show on our Club/station.

This means that we will have to “manage” Members differently than most Clubhouse Clubs. We are going to limit Members to a handful (20-40) and allow them to create their own rooms without controls. Everyone can be a Follower.

(I admit to letting two people become Members before this vision was developed... oops.)
Our club’s vision is that great hosts who do “rooms”/ shows regularly will attract more Followers to the Club.

If the hosts see it as marketing for another activity, they will get value out of it. If the listeners learn something and enjoy themselves, they get value out of it. Listeners win. Hosts win.
If people just want to talk, that is great too!
(The economic value to the station/club isn’t clear… at this time. But, we hope this will be good for swimming and swimmers.)
