Description

Litmus Test Project is a progressive citizens' collective based in Mumbai. We work towards social impact initiatives by pushing for active citizenship, gender equality and good governance.

Current initiatives:

Khaana Chahiye (2020)

The campaign was launched in collaboration with Project Mumbai and Bharat Utthan Sangh in March 2020 as a response to the migrant crisis caused during the Covid-19 pandemic. During its operations in 2020, the campaign served 46.5 lakh meals and distributed 20,000 grocery kits to the families in distress.

The campaign was formally registered as a non-profit, Khaana Chahiye Foundation in November 2020. It launched the Hunger Map Project, an evidence-based policy intervention with the BMC. Litmus Test Project serves as one of the partners to the organization. It is now conducting its second round of relief operations which started in April 2021.
