Discussions on our own terms utilising intersectional feminism and empathy —————————————————————- I seek to make this a space that we can build and shape collectively. —————————————————————- I wish to utilise my privilege as a male to uplift voice of women. And so it is vital to allow this space to be shaped by each of you. —————————————————————- Far too often those who are not educated on topics are given platform space to share problematic view points which are not moderated in a way which is respectful to marginalised communities from people of culture. I wish for us to build a safe space to have these discussions with individuals who can utilise this platform to break apart misogynistic/racist/ablest arguments while supported by allies that are read up on these issues. —————————————————————- All too often we see the individual who has significantly less awareness hijacking the conversation draining the emotional energy of people who challenge them, then centre the conversation on themselves with their fragile egos. It’s time we take the mic back!, when a problematic view point is shared we take away their ability to continue their ideology, so that we can debunk and break apart the argument bit by bit. I hope to find the best way to go about doing this utilising our collective thoughts.
