أسهمت ظاهرة الهجرة في تطوير مختلف جوانب الحياة الإنسانية وإثرائها بروافد متجددة من فكر وإضافات وابتكارات المهاجرين للدول التي هاجروا إليها، ولم يعد الاهتمام بقضايا الهجرة والمهاجرين قاصراً على المستوى الوطني أو الإقليمي فحسب، بل تزايد هذا الاهتمام على المستوى الدولي، ولاسيما فيما يتعلق بحقوق المهاجرين وواجباتهم ومشكلات اندماجهم في مجتمعات الهجرة، والهجرة غير الشرعية . يركز النادي على المشاكل المتعلقة بالإندماج والعنصرية والفصل العنصري في بلاد المهجر.
