ARDCS is a non-profit, non-government voluntary organization emphasizing to encourage people’s participation in Communication and Information Technology through Amateur Radio. Allow us to introduce ourselves, AMATEUR RADIO DISASTER COMMUNICATION SOCIETY, VATAKARA. We are registered Society specializing in the field of Radio Engineering and social service. We are in the view of serving the society by giving support to the civil authorities during any natural disaster and / or during any such incidents or events.

We offer a comprehensive range of services for Amateur radio training, technical support and research on radio communication. We are in the view of serving the society by giving support to the civil authorities during any natural disaster and / or during any such incidents or events.

ARDCS received its call sign as VU2VDK in 2011.

We arrange various skill development programs in terms of guest lecturing, seminars, discussions and operating demos, field days on various advanced trends in radio communication.

We enable people to become Amateur radio operator by giving proper training and to get license. We encourage our members to actively participate in contests, competitions and exhibitions to enhance their awareness. We collaborate likeminded Amateur radio clubs and societies.

Amateur Radio or HAM Radio

'Amateur Radio Service' is a two-way wireless communication service allotted to persons who are licensed by the communication Authority to carry out experimentation in the field of Radio Communication techniques.

'Amateur Service' defines as -"a service of self training, inter-communication and technical investigations carried on by amateurs that is, by persons duly authorized under these rules interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest". Amateur Radio is a friendly, scientific, fun-loving, high-tech hobby and is popularly known as HAM RADIO.

Hamming is an exciting way to discover new friends and gain knowledge on-the-air. One interesting fact about ham radio communication is that, if these who are fruitfully utilized, many youngsters would be able to take interest in ham radio – a scientific hobby. There are many activities people perform out of their scientific curiosity or to satisfy their inquisitive mind.
