EQUIPPED on Clubhouse

Description

Our goal is to edify clubhouse followers by 1) directly reading the scripts and digging into the meaning of it's passages and 2) approaching topics using the truth revealed in the scripts. We don't intend to uplift followers by being motivational or inspirational speakers but to motivate followers to read the inspired (by God) word and be uplifted and corrected by it.

We want to learn God (and his will for us) through a focus mainly on God's word as we believe it is the pre-eminent revelation of God and his desires for us. God's word is reliable and profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Scripture is what EQUIPS us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17)! Therefore, this is where our focus should be.

Equipped has 2 Co-Hosts (Ensley & Luther)

- Ensley: I really enjoy topical preaching and teaching. I love to study scripture and see what the bible says about a certain subject. My type of teaching will give a broad-spectrum view of what the Bible says on a given topic. By focusing on issues in this way I hope to help develop a biblical understanding of any subject.

- Luther: I really like expository preaching and going through scripture verse by verse. When I host, I will typically choose particular passages with the hope of digging into it verse by verse to try and interpret it correctly - not as what I think I want it to say or what it means "for me" but instead what the author intended to say.

DISCLAIMER: We do not know everything and we certinaly will not have all the answers. We are learning as well. We do hope to guide according to the measure of grace and faith that God has given us, but there will be times that we are unclear on certains subjects or verses. Please keep in mind that this club IS NOT a replacement for your local church body and you should seek to be a member of a local church.
Economy of Speech : Please keep your comments to 2 minutes or less, unless asked to unpack something. Might be helpful to organize your thoughts prior to speaking. Eventually one of the moderators will ask you to wrap up
Gentleness & Grace : When bringing forth your thoughts ... be mindful to speak in kindness even if you seriously disagree. Show grace and try to assume the best - and if unsure ask for clarification
Stay on Topic : Staying on topic is imperative! Veering too far from the topic at hand can cause confusion and typically results in chaos. Do your best to be stay focused.
