Welcome to POAD (People of African Decent). We are here to spread love & share culture in a safe & welcoming egalitarian space. Our ultimate goal is to foster community and allyship between Africans and the African Diaspora & all those we interact with along the way. All are welcome despite race, religion, sexuality and creed. We believe, There’s only one race, the human race and as we gather we hope to unpack and unravel the experience of “blackness” as a social construct rooted as a class system & tool of oppression while celebrating the “story of global resilience and triumph!”
