Description
Standard conceptions of masculinity revolve around the preservation of power, rejection of emotions, and maintenance of a strong appearance. Especially in the Black community, this phenomenon reduces the likelihood of developing deep, vulnerable connections with friends and intimate partners.
Gentle Men reduces the barrier for men to reexamine their definition of masculinity through discussions about intimacy, relationships, power dynamics, and more. By doing so, Gentle Men aims to expand the range of emotions men can recognize, access, accept, and share with the world.
