Description
The Kalinago Indians (formerly Carib Indians of the Caribbean and Caribbean Sea Region) ๐ชถ๐ชถdate back to 4000 BC. ๐ชถ๐ชถ The Kalinago Territory, ๐officially established in 1903 as the Caribbean's only autonomous enclave (reservation) ๐for these indigenous Indians. 3,700 acres on the east coast (or 1,530ha) โ Officially known as theย Kalinago Territory.
The descendants of the Caribs (the Colonizers name) for the first inhabitants ofย Dominica and other Islands of the Greater and Lesser Antilles. The descendants known as live in eight villages in this reservation. The GLI GLI Hawk ๐ฆ
๐ชถis considered sacred to the Kalinago Nation.
