Hello New Sounders 🤗
Welcome!

The New Sounders Lounge is a private club for “New Sound Course” students. It’s a space to review the lessons, practice conversation, public speaking, dialogues, and specially to keep in touch and connected 🤗.

🔴 IMPORTANT:

• This private club is a space for students’ audio practice only. There will be NO coaching sessions or hot seats feedback.

🔹 For those interested in scheduling rooms / events, here’s a list of Room Rules useful before & during the event..

• Before the event:

First, you need to set up your room. For this stage I recommend these rules:

1. Rooms Private to members ONLY.
2. Choose a clear Event Name. Make the best of the 60 characters you have for it, but do not set false expectations.
3. Add a co-host. Not only that a co-host could back you up in case you exit the room by mistake, but adding another moderator will increase the dynamics of the respective room.
4. Choose a date for the event that would allow you enough time to prepare / promote it.
5. Fill in the 200 characters description. Explain clearly what the audience should expect.

During the Clubhouse room:

1. You are the moderator so after your introduction, quickly list the main rules, explain how hand rising works, and when the meeting will end.
2. Stick to the agenda. Try not to redirect the discussion to a totally different thread.
3. Periodically reset the room in order to see how many people joined since you started and recap or reintroduce yourself to the newcomers.
4. Pay attention to hands raised ✋🏻
5. Treat everyone with respect. Disrespect at any form will not be tolerate.
6. Don’t hog the stage. Everyone’s more than welcome to come on the stage and talk, but we also need to be considerate with others on the stage and give them a chance to speak as well.
7. End the room in time and end it as it was planned, thanking everyone and announcing the next event.
