Description
Kalakakshi is an artists' collective that seeks to go beyond the personal art practices of their members to form what may be called an 'artivist' platform. The collective works with the aim ''Art into Public''.
We seek to engage with the public through art on issues that are here and current. The works of Kalakakshi are mostly the results of engaging with social activists, fellow artists, writers and with the general public through community projects, interactive sessions etc. Our collective practice arises from the social milieu that we inhabit. Kalakakshi's members include visual artists, musicians, writers, and architects.
