About Sixth Space:
Sixth Space is an experimental artistic curatorial space founded by its curator Alma Salem in 2011 .
It offers unique solidarity with the unheard stories, thoughts and voices from the Arab World continuum uprisings in their relevance and intersectionalities with civil rights waves and artistic movements across History and Geography.
Ou virtual and physical platforms in hybridity offer a unique experience for the Arab region, the Arab speaking diaspora around the globe and wider audiences by celebrating the revolution of Contemporary Arab World Art in its diverse expressions.
Legacy:
Sixth Space toured, exhibited and opened conversations about Arab World Art from Zaatari camps in Jordan to Erbil and Rabat in Morocco, from London to Northern Ireland and Delhi, from Beaux Arts de Paris to NewYork and Seattle, from Amsterdam to Salzburg, to The Bozar of Brussels, today on Club House and coming soon an exciting artistic post-covid touring
Passing the torch of knowledge about Freedoms, and defending aesthetics as an essential human right is at the heart of its Freedom mission .

We define the Arab World not as a nation but as a reference to a geographical region (The region embraced by the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Arabian Sea in the East, and by the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Indian Ocean in the southeast.
We acknowledge its richness with diverse Ethnicities, Indigenous Peoples, Religions, Languages and Cultural expressions.
