Description

A community where we discuss all things dyslexia and LD’s (Learning Differences/Disabilities) from mental illness, education, to employment and beyond. Culturally, learning differences are not embraced or remediated in the Black and brown communities.

This club brings people who are neurodivergent together to discuss the misdiagnosis, under identified, and untreated LD’s (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, etc) in the BIPOC communities. We realize dyslexia may not be mental illness, but the results of its reality can trigger mental illness such as self-esteem issues, depression, and anxiety to name a few.

This space is also open to related service providers and professionals of color who work with, in support of, educate, treat, diagnose, and screen those who are neurodivergent.
