The Great Debaters on Clubhouse

42124 A 🎙 club 🚻 where we shall host open and closed debates around burning topics that need a lot of open public debate to move the human race forward. They shall be in different formats - 1. Open (free for all), 2. Closed Singles (1 vs 1, only one participant for each side) or 3. Closed Teams (team of two to three participants max per team). There shall be only two sides “For” and “Against”, some rooms may warrant a Jury kind of format where a neutral set of people (up to 5 members) who would also be voting towards the decision of the debate, else it shall be the moderators’ decision to declare the winner(s). Topics 📰 and time 🕰 - date 📆 for the debates 🗣 shall be announced as early as possible.
Debates are not Fights: We do not expect the debates to turn into fights between the two sides of Debaters. Please keep it civil and cordial. It is meant for us as a group of humans to learn each other’s perspective.
Agree to Disagree!: When at an impasse, please make a conscious call to “agree to disagree” and leave it for another time/day. Let us make it a fun and educative experience rather than a “I want to win this debate” exp.
Wait for others to finish their thoughts: Please do not jump in just because you have a great point to share. Regardless of how valuable the point is, no one will value it if it comes after barging in on another’s sharing.
