Description

Are you a parent or caregiver to a child or children with ADHD? Do you have a struggle or success that you’d like to share with other parents and caregivers dealing with an ADHD child? Are you looking for some encouragement on dealing with your ADHD child?

According to the CDC, nearly 10% of children between the ages of 2 to 17 are estimated to have ever been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). ADHD is among the most common neurodevelopment disorders of childhood. And, while research suggests boys are more likely than girls to be diagnosed, it’s believed that ADHD affects a greater number of girls than reported. ADHD in children can cause feelings of stress, frustration, misunderstanding, disrespect and embarrassment. However, the more parents and caregivers learn about ADHD and which approaches work best, they can help children improve and thrive.

Join Finding Focus - a discussion group focused on proving a loving, nonjudgmental and encouraging environment for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD to share stories, struggles, strategies and successes.

About me -- Jennifer Faust lives in Northern Virginia with her busy family of 3 amazing elementary-aged boys, two of which were diagnosed with ADHD in the last year. She believes in never wasting an experience and that we’re stronger together.

Who? Parents and caregivers of children with ADHD

Why? While many medical and informational resources on ADHD in children exist online, there are few to none focused specifically on parental/caregiver engagement and encouragement. Some of the best information, resources and insights come when we share our experiences and stories.
