🌍What is the University of the People?
University of the People is the first non-profit, tuition-free, American, accredited, online university.
The University offers associate and bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Health Science as well as master’s degree programs in Business Administration and Education. UoPeople was founded in 2009 and accredited in February 2014. University of the People in Arabic was launched in 2020, offering an Associate Degree in Business Administration, while at the same providing Arabic-speaking students intensive English-language courses. Today, there are more than 57,000 students from more than 200 countries and territories. Over 6,000 of these students are refugees.
UoPeople has academic partnerships with NYU, UC Berkeley, and the University of Edinburgh, as well as a collaboration with Harvard Business School Online. 92% of UoPeople graduates are employed, including at such companies as Amazon, Apple, Dell, Deloitte, IBM, Microsoft, and JP Morgan, and institutions such as the UN and the World Bank.
