𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 🧫 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 🎻 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏-𝟏𝟐 📚 The U. S. Department of Education has been tasked to increase awareness of STEM & STEAM 🖼 education. Since the early 2000s there has been a push to add STEM ⚙️ as integrated course work starting in kindergarten. However, the National Defense Education Act originally geared STEM education towards the students that were considered gifted and talented. Now there is an initiative to make STEM more equitable and accessible to all students. Especially our students with special needs, our Black and Brown students and students that are economically disadvantaged. The goal of STEM is to have an Activity Problem-Project Based (APB) Learning atmosphere. What have you noticed at the schools in your area?
