Description

The purpose of this club is to unite all Amharas under one common objective — justice for our people.

The Amharas are the largest ethnic group in Ethiopia. These indigenous people originate from the highlands in areas such as Gondar, Wollo, Gojam & Shewa. Their native tongue is Amharic (አማርኛ), which is the most widely spoken language in the entire country. Majority of Amharas adhere to the Orthodox Tewahedo or Islam faiths.

Beginning with Emperor Yekuno Amlak in 1270 until Haile Selassie in 1974, the Amharas continuously ruled & formed the political core of the Ethiopian Empire. Establishing several medieval royal sites and capitals such as Tegulet, Debre Berhan, Barara (located on Mount Entoto, in modern-day Addis Ababa), Gonder & Magdala. During this era of the Solomonic Dynasty, nobles were only able to ascend to the throne if they claimed descent from the biblical King Solomon of Israel & Queen of Sheba (Saba).

It’s great to appreciate history but it’s time to work towards our future.

There’s currently a genocide in Ethiopia unto Amhara people by the hands of terrorist Oromo & Tigrayans. Over 2 million have been internally displaced & are being denied sufficient humanitarian aid. The federal government led by dictator Abiy Ahmed is responsible as well. Ethiopia will not be held together by the blood of our innocent people.
