A safe space for parents, teachers, health professionals and those with SM (if able) to discuss Selective Mutism and the various issues around this disorder.

🔆 Selective mutism (SM) is an anxiety disorder in which a child is unable to speak in some settings and to some people. A child with SM may talk normally at home, for instance, or when alone with his/her parents, but cannot speak at all, or speak above a whisper, in other social settings—at school, in public, or at extended family gatherings, according the Child Mind Institute.

This club will host rooms on effective therapy 👥, tips for teachers/schools 🍎 📚, personal experiences 🙋🏼‍♀️, medication discussions 💊 , and many other topics around SM. Join us! 🏡
