Jesus Youth is an International movement within the Catholic Church focusing on a Christ-centered lifestyle and nurturing their missionary initiatives. It represents the Church’s emphasis on living life in joy, vitality and fullness discovered in Christ and sharing the Gospel in contemporary life situations. It further aims to carry out the work of Evangelisation by fostering individuals, facilitating in engaging each members with different formal missions and projects in various parts of the world covering about 30 major countries. In India too, Jesus Youth has an active presence in almost every state. Formed in 1998 in India, Jesus Youth India co-ordinates the activities of the movement helping the youngsters to seek and grow as faithful disciples of Christ. Gaining national attention ever since its formation and with a target for wider participation of young people in the Church, the movement has been categorized with respect to regions, zones and ministries.
