“@“ Have you ever dreamed of how your life would have improved if you had a different childhood?
Do you sometimes struggle with breaking out of lifelong habits and attitudes?
Do you often look for the best ways you can empower not only yourself but also people close to you?
Over the past ten years, Abbas Edalat, Professor and head of Algorithmic Human Development Group at Imperial College London, has been working on a new way to address these questions. In a unique approach, he has dubbed Self-Attachment Technique, he has developed a range of guided protocols that everyone can practice enhancing their social and emotional intelligence and creativity and help individuals empower themselves and others towards their higher goals.
What is Self-Attachment Technique?
Self-Attachment Technique (SAT) is inspired by our natural tendency to create caring, emotional bonds with our loved ones (also known as ‘affectional bonding’). SAT would enable you to create an imaginative affectional bond with your own childhood self in a clever twist. Using this technique, you will then be able to recreate various optimal parent-child interactions to help your childhood selves “grow up” into healthy, compassionate, and creative adults. Using this approach, SAT is equipped with a range of protocols that can help you reprocess early childhood experiences, maximize positive emotions, minimize negative emotions and moderate how you respond to personal and social life challenges.
