However, there were those who were jealous of their power and wealth and sought to turn the hearts of the people against them. The witches were burned at stakes and were hunted down like animals. Some however managed to escape into the moon-less night. They disappeared and became stories passed down from generation to generation. Then they were myths; then they became legends and now they have risen again, this time as children of disobedience! Their plan is to smash the patriarchy and put an end to female genital mutilation, purity culture, gender roles, rape culture and all forms of systematic marginalisation of women.
