Vegans Against Violence on Clubhouse

VAV is a club of intersectional vegans against all oppression and violence. The core values are Empathy, Compassion, Non-violence and Unconditional Love. We must understand that being Vegan is not a singular identity and there are many sub-cultures that exist under veganism. I am sure we have all come across many vegans who restrict their notions of non-violence to non-human animals and ignore the systematic oppression against humans based on gender/race/sex/sexuality/caste/class/indigenous people/ tribes and more. The club aims to foster conversations around intersectionality and hold hands not as saviours or path makers but as fellow walkers carving a path together towards non-violence. This also means that we do not shun or shame people whose livelihood depends on animals for whatever reason but raise awareness, find alternatives and ways to tackle it without keeping our blinders. Let’s keep in mind that animal abuse is a global problem that has been amplified due to industrialisation and rapid capitalism, and soon veganism will be taken over by it and has been in many parts. Any member can start the room and facilitate constructive conversations that are anything vegan while adhering to the core values :) 🌻
