What do we do here?

Here our conversations start with the one thing that all of us are related to in one way or another – food. The room, however, is not just centred around food, and involves talks and discussions that stem from it. We're talking food's impact on our growing up, societal practices, our cultures, its divides and unison, its history and its future, and everything else that makes food significant.

Who is Vernika?

Vernika Awal is a food writer and journalist, known for her researched based articles that feature in various national dailies and her blog - Delectable Reveries. Almost 4 years back she began working on the concept of #DelectablePunjab through which she aimed to document the culture and cuisine from the her home state of Punjab, in India. With more and more being talked about the state in reference to the new-age loud music and drug issue, this is an attempt to highlight the deep rooted rich culture, before it is lost to time. For this topic, she has been running the series on my Instagram feed under the hashtag, #DelectablePunjab.
