VAKKOM, വക്കം, is a village in the Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India.[2] It is located 35 km north of Thivandrum, the state capital. Vakkom panchayat is surrounded by back waters (Kayal). Neighbouring Panchayats are Anjengo, Kadakkavoor, Vettoor, Cherunniyoor and Manampoor. The nearest towns, within 7 km are Varkala and Attingal.
