Dharamsala also spelt Dharamshala is the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh state. It is also the headquarters of District Kangra. It's the second major city of Himachal next to Shimla. Dharamsala is also called Dhasa as it's the residence of HH The Dalai Lama. It's also the headquarters of Tibetan Government is exile also called Central Tibetan Administration or Kashag. Lying on the spur of Dhauladhar range Dharamsala has a pleasant climate.The upper reaches of Dharamsala i.e Mcleodganj, Bhagsunag, Naddi and Dharamkot get a fair bit of snowfall in winters.
