This club is for nonprofit professionals, volunteer leadership in nonprofit, and consultants working with/for nonprofits who need a space to vent and solve problems Rooms in this club deal with the personal and professional challenges, risks, and opportunities of working for and with nonprofit organizations. Whether it’s airing of grievances, kicking around obstacles that keep us from being successful, finding a way through, seeking insight and advice on an intractable situation, or finding a way out, members can find a confidential space for support, encouragement, and clarity from the craziness.
In confidence : What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Try not to gossip about what we share. We are here to support, encourage, and validate each other - not collect tea for later.
If talking about a person, no names. : Many times our challenges and issues in working in nonprofits is people. Understandable. Give them pseudonyms - Mr Puffy Hair, Ms Bangles. It’s the kind thing to do.
Save space for others. : This one is hard for me - once I get going LOOK OUT! Ain’t no stopping me now. But really, there are lots of people who need to vent, be heard, receive advice. Be aware of the air you’re consuming.
