Description
Sufism is a spiritual stream which is popularly assumed to be separate from any organised religion and is politically neutral. As a matter of fact, Sufism is very much a part of Islam, imbibing elements of Syncretic culture and has been playing a pivotal role in politics of patronage in since medieval times. We will explore how has this jugalbandi of political patronage, syncretism and tasawwuf (Sufism) worked ! Not just this, we talk about everything Sufic, beyond geographic & cultural divides. Our club aims to be like 'the conference of the birds', where we all lead each other to enlightenment.
