Welcome to the Genealogy Front Porch (Name inspired by cousin Djamil)

This club is an olive branch to bring back all our genealogy spaces together. Everyone is welcome. The room will be 24 hours most times. Sometimes the room will be quiet because we might be multitasking, at work, etc. but we want the space open so people can come in and ask for help.

This house is different from other houses on CH. We are a family oriented space. Just like you would do when you go to someone’s home please speak when you enter the house.

Our conversations are mostly about genealogy, tips & tricks on how to research, programs, and sometimes just life. We want to come together just like family did back in the day and reminisce about the good ole days. We want to get back to doing the work of helping each other with research. Gleaning from each other’s knowledge of resources.

We want to be respectful to everyone and their opinions. But we will not let people disturb the peace.

Join me on Mondays at 6:30 pm for What’s Up Cuz! I Shana Augustus interview DNA cousins who are in the African Diaspora Reunification Project (ADRP) on GEDmatch. We are creating a private tree accessible to those in the project so we can figure out how we are related. We also learn how to use GEDmatch tools and from other experts in the group. We utilize all genealogy platforms and resources.
