What Blerds love about DC Comics and related media. Milestone included. There’s much more to DC than the DCEU and DC CW. We can be honest and critique the things, but this is NOT the place to bash DC. This is a BLACK, womanist, and LGBTQ+ safe space. There will be no messing around where those groups are concerned. This space is primarily intended for Blerds (Black nerds), but other ethnic nerds are welcome as long as they abide by the rules and don’t mind the topics being majority Black, womanist and queer.
No descrimination: This is a Blerd (Black Nerd) space that is womanist and LGBTQ+ friendly. We do NOT condone antiblackness or misogynoir of any kind. No overtalking or interrupting Black women or non-men.
Read the room: If you enter a room and a conversation is under way, try to wait a few minutes or so to get the gist of what is being talked about instead of stopping the flow. This is a Black space. Black stages.
Have fun and keep an open mind: We CAN be serious about certain topics, but let’s try to have fun and keep it light as much as possible. Understand that Blerds and nerds come in all different levels and experiences and be welcoming.
