The phrase 'Marketplace of Ideas' has become rather commonplace. Not that it's a misnomer or doesn't convey the point vis-à-vis shifting social mores, but there's a need to go beyond the analogy of peddling wares, nagging and haggling in a lively bazaar.

Ideas arise as a result of 'Anxiety of Influence', the 'Burdens of Past', and the dialectical interplay between the old and the new, the rigid and the fluid, the established and the drastic, the predictable and the sudden. It's a long haul and the outcome of the churn is most often startling and strikes us when we haven't anticipated it at all.

Ideas Taverna intends to take Marketplace to the Symposium. What purpose, after all, does a clubhouse without a well-stocked bar that lubricates spontaneous conversations serve?

With the age of convergence and collisions dawning before us, it's become an imperative to examine disparate topics and make an attempt at how they are interrelated.

The topics that we gonna discuss here will range from the meta-narrative of internet age that's assumed the status of an axiom: Post-Modernism on steroids and its myriad manifestations.

The focus will also be on regional, global eruptions, upheavals and incipient trends that are going to be crucial in the coming years.

Be it the Woke ritualism, Cancel Culture, the rise of China, corporate surveillance, inflamed social divisiveness, disruption, West's existential decline, the demographic conundrum, terrorism in Middle East, India's strategic choices or Asia as the frontier of another great power rivalry. We will discuss everything and a lot more.
