Radio Saanthwanam 90.4 FM as the humble efforts of Pain and Palliative Care Trust, a totally charitable organization, servicing more than 7000 cancer patients who are either undergoing palliative care or terminally ill. We provide medicines free of cost to all deserving patients and do not undertake any sort of service on a payment basis. The expenditure is met from the voluntary contributions made by philanthropists and humanists. We run pain and palliative clinics in various parts of Kollam District regularly where patients or their relatives come and collect medicines prescribed by qualified doctors and specialists. Government of India had been kind enough to sanction a Community Radio project to be operated from the City Corporation limits of Kollam. We hope to bring it on air by January 2022.
