The idea of being a black “queen” or “king” often involves the achievement of excellence while displaying dignity and strength, even in the face of adversity. The issue with this idea, and uplifting the black community, is that it devalues black vulnerability and weakness; there is no room for mediocrity in the struggle to successfully navigate spaces that have historically been constructed to keep us out.
Black Consciousness - awareness of one's identity as a black person, especially as a basis for a political grouping or movement.
Kings and Queens only!!! : We only refer to each other as King or Queen! You can also refer to each other as Man or Woman. Anything else will put you straight in the Gulag Aka The Dirt. #RESPECTFULLY
No talking over other people: Even if you have a rebuttal please save it until the persons done or when it’s your turn. Everyone in this club speaks no matter if your a moderator or in the crowd. Everyone has a “Voice.”
No asking for the Green Beam or moderator badge!: You will rightfully receive a badge or green beam based on the people in the room or the conversation. Even if a person brings more to a conversation they should become a moderator. #Respectfully
