THE ECONOMICS & MMT CLUB

We’re a newly-formed club aimed at helping to solve the world’s greatest problems - from inequity to climate change - through smarter, more caring macroeconomic policy using the best ideas from the smartest contemporary economic thinkers.
The learnings from Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) will feature significantly in our discussions, as will learnings from and contributions from a range of other disciplines.
Poverty, inequity and injustice are not inevitable. Most of our current social ills - including the huge disparities in income, wealth, access to healthcare and education, employment we see in modern societies - can be traced back to political decisions supported by bad economic policies. We can change those outcomes, if we choose.
The Economics Club is committed to a future of true equity, justice, diversity and inclusion - and we’d like this Club to contribute to creating that future.
The Economics Club still in setup phase, but we expect to launch 🚀 the Club fully in the near future.
