CAMP WAT PA on Clubhouse

Description

Founded in 2009, Camp Wat Pa (CWP) is a youth leadership program dedicated towards enhancing the future of the community through empowering, mentoring, and educating youth. Campers are immersed in multiple workshops and activities that are aimed to inspire youth as leaders in their communities and develop individual growth through better understanding Thai culture and their personal identity. Learning experiences are focused on leadership development, community involvement, and self-confidence building through meditation and other group activities.

Purpose
Camp Wat Pa focuses on community development through youth empowerment and creating memorable experiences that bring the community together. This special camp is organized by Thai American community members who want to share their knowledge, resources, compassion, and friendship to the maturing generation.

Campers will participate in a series of learning experiences focused on:

Leadership Development: Team building, problem-solving, and self empowerment
Community Involvement: Service learning, volunteerism, community development
Self Confidence and Identity: Personal growth through understanding individual and cultural identity, self awareness development through mediation practice and Dhamma lectures.
