History: The Colorado Rockies became a Major League Baseball franchise prior to the 1993 season, playing in the National League. They set the all-time single season attendance record of 4,483,350 in their first year, an incredible record that stands to this day. After two seasons at Mile High Stadium, the Rockies have made Coors Field (in lower downtown Denver) their home ballpark since 1995. Widely acclaimed as one of baseball’s most beautiful ballparks, visitors travel from all over to experience games at Coors and enjoy the incredible Rocky Mountain sunsets. Numerous star players have worn the Rockies jersey since their inception. The Rockies have made the playoffs 5 times in their existence, winning the National League pennant in 2007.
